Project Eight: Comedy Tonight!

KingMickey Reacts to Disneyrules dropping out and CosatFreak returning to the game: 

I don't get the point of DisneyRules resigning. We already asked if you were willing to participate for the rest of the season, what happened? This is a slap in the face to Disneyson, who you were tied with. Disneyson was willing to play and practically begged the other contestants to bring him back. If you at least put up a fight for a few projects and then were eliminated, fine, but you resigned as soon as you came back in, without any reasoning at all. This is exactly why we asked you if you were willing to return. It's just foolish, we just walked around a circle and didn't get anywhere. Yes, Disneyson, the obvious threat, powerhouse of this season and a person who still deserves to be in the game, would have been back in the game, which is exactly why the majority of contestants voted you back in. Step up, players. That's some corny ****. 

CostaFreak, I'm glad to have you back in. You do deserve to hold a spot in the current standings of the game, so it's good to see you back here. Just promise that you won't ditch and you're here for keeps for the remainder of the season.

Exactly. We said that if you had "other things to do", then you shouldn't have returned in the first place. We asked you that VERY specifically. You let us down, as well as many contestants this season. You resigned after Project Seven...after returning in Project Seven. CostaFreak, sorry, I don't want to make it sound like I'm against you returning to the game. That's not true at all and I'm happy to have you back with us, as I feel that you shouldn't have left to begin with. I'm just against competitors dropping out, especially this late in the season. The first project was one thing, where nearly ten people dropped out. Since then, people have solely been eliminated due to the lack of participation, with the exception of Disneyson. Now, more than halfway through the season, we have another drop out? Especially AFTER we brought the contestant back into the game to have a SECOND CHANCE? We gave you another shot this season, which you seemed very ecstatic about, only to blow it to pieces. Hack didn't last long last season, but ****, he at least fought through a couple of projects. This is some goofy ****.

The reason some of us are upset with this situation is that if one is given a second chance to return they should thouroughly think about whether or not they have the time to return and commit themselves to such a thing. We had the same issue last season. We invited back three contestants: Hack, Jphelps, and Disneylover4ever. Out of the three, Hack was the only one to actually return and commit himself to the game. The other two didn't really show up, leaving Hack to do an entire project by HIMSELF, kind of like what happened to CostaFreak in the past round. We're kind of going through a similar situation at the moment. We brought back a contestant who showed up for a little while then dropped-out. It's kind of unfair, particularly for Disneyson who actually wanted to come back and who would probably continue to go on his powerhouse-streak. It's a bit disappointing that we created a nearly-pointless plot twist. DisneyRules you have made a lasting impression on the season and that's not a lie. You are the "epic" wild card of the bunch, meaning you are literally a random Imagineer. You come in at various times, share an idea, then disappear. You can kind of relate that to the concept of a "wild card" as the outcomes of your actions can lead to numerous things. I bid you luck with the issues going on in the "real-world" and hope that there are no hard-feelings between us or anybody else. 

As of right now I think we should just drop the subject and move on. No point in talking about it anymore.


Personal Spaces

This play is about a man, Lawrence, who keeps attempting to fall asleep backstage as his friend, Chester, is auditioning, and girlfriend, Abby, is working. Each time he gets close to falling asleep, he is woken up by some sort of wild shenanigans. But, lets get right into the descriptions and plot to really explain our story:

Who's Who, and What are they doing!?


  • Lawrence J. Hood: Our main character. A prop designer in Hollywoodland, Lawrence has never been one for the limelight. Throughout the play, he'll be trying to find a place to fall asleep, but will continually get interrupted. The joke is that throughout the entire play as Lawrence is trying to go to sleep, he's actually already dreaming (and we as the audience are aware of the joke from the get go, it isn't an "M. Night Shamalayan" or anything, haha...)
  • Abigail C. Prescott: Lawrence's trusted girlfriend, a make-up artist in Hollywoodland. Having spent her career behind the scenes as well, making other people look beautiful, she can relate to Lawrence's frustrations as not getting the same recognition as actors, even though they put just as much work, if not more, into their craft. Abigail cares deeply for Lawrence, but has one little nagging pest in the back of her mind...
  • Cecilia "Candy" Coltrane: Cecilia Coltrane is the main antagonist of our story. Being on the current top of Hollywoodland's "A List", Cecilia is everyone's favorite starlet. In the words of Panic at the Disco though, "she spun the stars on her fingernails, but it never made her happy..." (sorry, I just love Pretty. Odd, haha) meaning, for all the attention she was getting from the Hollywoodland elite, she knew it was all just to take advantage of her star power. While she had gotten around with many actors and even started somewhat of a scandal in Hollywoodland, she tires of actors and sets her sights on innocent prop designer Lawrence. The two of them had a brief fling back when they were young (forgot to mention that, was in the original play as well...) which worries Abby greatly. While Cecilia might be cunning and malicious in intent, for all intents and purposes she is acting with her heart, which makes her a very humanized antagonist. Regardless, she is clearly not right for Lawrence, yet she will stop at nothing to make sure she breaks up his genuine relationship with Abby.
  • Chester B. Barnum: Once a world renowned comedian, Chester fell on hard times at the dawn of the CGI era, and now rubs elbows in the prop shop with Lawrence. Chester is as eccentric as they come. Some say he has a third eye. Some say he can see into the future. Whatever it is, Chester has a way of...picking up on things, that will prove very useful in this play's storytelling.
  • Joesph "Joe" Hood: Joe Hood is Lawrence's 17 year old younger brother, and an up and coming actor with very little self confidence. Joe is a romantic, constantly yearning for a relationship while not knowing how to get it. In the original play, Joe was kind of a comic relief awkward nerd sort of character, and that's exactly what he'll be serving as here, except this time he'll be one of the only characters to stay an adolescent since the charm of his character really is his innocence. Unfortunately for Joe, he is one of the catalysts that sets up a chain of events early on in the play by asking out...
  • Miranda Price: Miranda Price, daughter of hot shot acting agent Ernie C. Price, is an ambitious young studio shark in the making. Having her eyes set on the recording industry, Miranda is a go-getter who knows how to get what she wants. 18 years old, she is the object of Joe Hood's affections, but the "property" of the young, up-and-coming hot shot stunt man:
  • Billy Brohan. Billy is 20 years old, extremely athletic, and has a mean temper. When he sees Joe trying to ask out his prized girlfriend Miranda, all hell breaks loose inside his over-tempered head. This happens RIGHT as Lawrence is going to sleep, and sets up a lot of stuff that happens in the dream, including the eventual chase scene. (Just wait...you'll see when that happens. It's actually one of the biggest things from the original play that we had planned, coincidentally...) Meanwhile, Miranda throughout the play will be working behind the scenes, mostly on her cell phone (you see...this is where a modern setting really comes in handy, haha) to influence what happens throughout the dream. She is a "Puppet Master", if you will. Her father doesn't really appear, but is mentioned throughout the play simply as a greedy corporate mogul. It is clear what influenced Miranda's deceptive personality.



Songs

  • Chester - Comedy Tonight (with a Deep Purple-esque twist), With A Little Help From My Friends: Duet with Lawrence, beginning of play. The Fire: The climax of the play, expressing this is his time to redeem the spotlight.
  • Lawrence - With A Little Help From My Friends: Duet with Chester, beginning of play. Once: Ends the play, Lawrence finally breaks down after all the chaos around him; last fading sung words can be heard as Chester pulls him off the stage.
  • Abby - Distopian Dream Girl: Beginning of the play. Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains): Middle of the play, philosophical musing.
  • Candy - Painting The Clouds With Sunshine: Beginning/middle of the play. She Had The World: Middle/near climax of the play.
  • Dev - Punch & Judy: Middle of the play, breaks down after telling a joke in a local bar about his ex-wife.
  • Leonard - Jesus Christ Superstar guitar intro to Comedy Tonight, random noodling on guitar at times.
  • Miranda - MoneyGrabber: Towards end of the play/climax, directed at Billy.
  • Billy - Time Again: Middle of the play/near climax, directed at Miranda after seeing her with Joe.
  • Joe - Afterglow: Middle of the play, sung monologue about Miranda.


Costumes

  • Lawrence-Differs by scene. What he will wear relates to the scene.
  • Chester-Off Stage: A tuxedo shirt (those shirts with the tux pattern?) On Stage(auditioning, if he does that): Brown pinstripe fitted jacket and brown derby hat.
  • Candy-A Red Dress (I have no idea how to describe a dress!) High high heels. (she can trip a few times, as she's only wearing them to impress Lawrence)
  • Leonard-(I cant help but think Spock, haha) Dreadlocks, sunglasses. Various tye-dye T-shirts.
  • Dev -Exactly what Chester wears. ("See, Lawrence! That man ALWAYS copies me!")
  • Abby-Sweatpants with paint/makeup splattered on them(as Candy will comment on, showing Lawrence that she isn't as attractive?) and a t-shirt.
  • Miranda-Changes outfits every scene (because she could never be caught wearing the same thing for more than 10 minutes!). I see lots of pink, gold, and sparkles though. Can go into detail with more info given, as it can relate to the scene.
  • Billy-traditional greaser style leather jacket
  • Joe-Black sports coat and pants. Tie that changes every scene to match Miranda's outfit.("Look Miranda, my tie matches your dress!? Isn't that awesome?...Yes?...Yea, okay...")


Story Outline:
  • Act I:

    The first act opens (after the musical introduction by Chester and Leonard) with Chester and Lawrence in their apartment which they also share with Abby. The basic exposition of the plot is delivered (basically there's an audition being held for a big new play by a hotshot director, and EVERYONE wants a piece of it). Lawrence is tired and wants to go to sleep, but Chester insists on him coming to support him, so he literally DRAGS Lawrence to the theater. Once there, we get a basic introduction of all the characters, and the individual plots (Joe asking out Miranda, Candy pursuing Lawrence) start to develop. The act ends when Lawrence gets fed up with all his friends bothering him and seeks a dressing room to go to sleep.
  • Act II:

    Lawrence "wakes up" in the dressing room, and immediately notices things aren't "all there." First off, the sets start to change, the musical the characters are auditioning for starts to take a surreal turn, and everyone is suddenly in period costume because of the audition. From the start, we are pretty much beaten over the head with the idea that this is Lawrence's dream. The general plotlines continue to develop, and throughout this act, there's a general basic transition to the general gist of the scenes as they start to become more and more rich with dream imagery. The "low of lows" that ends the act happens when Lawrence once again tries to sneak off to "get some sleep" and Candy pretty much gets on top of him. Abby walks in, freaks out, and Lawrence is left alone to piece back together the mess that this audition has created for he and his friends.
  • Act III:

    The dream imagery in this act goes into full on nightmare territory. The basic premise of the act is simply Billy rampaging through the party trying to find Joe and Lawrence, while all the meanwhile Lawrence is attempting to smooth things over with Abby, ward off Candy, and interact with the rest of his friends who want his help. The dream concludes when Billy starts furiously beating up Lawrence and Chester literally freaks out, pulls a pop gun, and shoots Billy dead. The pop gun is OBVIOUSLY fake looking and used for comedic effect, not shock effect. From this Lawrence wakes up, the plotlines are all concluded, and Chester goes into one last panicked frenzy which is abruptly interrupted by Billy who proceeds to start a fight with Chester which goes all throughout the aisles and concludes with the two of them ziplining directly from the balcony onto the set, completely DESTROYING the set on impact leaving Billy tied up in a mess of costumes backstage. Chester runs off stage awkwardly, embarrassed that the production has LITERALLY come crashing down around him. Lawrence calmly sneaks off to find a place to go back to sleep, and Leonard continues to strum his guitar. Suddenly, a string breaks and the curtain abruptly closes.

Hollywoodland

Welcome to Hollywoodland. Where everyone has a chance to make it big. Just the thing that Jon A. Newbie and guests watching the play will soon learn. So sit back, relax and enjoy Hollywoodland

The Story
Hollywoodland is the story of Jon A. Newbie, a young man that has travelled all the way to Kansas and wants to become a director for a famous studio in the golden 40's. However, on his way, stands an evil villain, Doctor Larris E. Fluffy (just don't mention that near him), a long-time director for the studio that sweared that he would ruin every single new director's career (since one of them made him lose all the fame). Jon has a thrilling idea, a Comedy, a genre that hasn't been touched in the last 37 movies the studio made- and together with his friends, the Crew and Cast Members, including Little Joey, the hyper-active backstage member, and Larson, the cowardly actor, they will all fight for their movie, and Jon will face another problem: love, as he falls in love for Sara S. Oney, the daughter of the movie's main financer, Rick M. Oney (also owner of the town's bank). Now, it's Jon on a fight against time, Larris, the evil director, and love, in this thrilling Comedy Tonight!

Story Outline
Hollywoodland
Director Establishes that Comedy Tonight was a preview for a movie idea

Financers don’t like it and say the want a whole new comedy and not just another Greek one because the last 33 the studio has made have all been failures!

Cast is reminded that if they don’t get a new show soon the studio will be closed since it is in so much debt and so they need to do good.

Scene Change out to bustling Hollywood focusing in on a young guy who wants to become a director has just stepped off the train and into the city.

Guy sees the director of the cast who’s older movies, prior to the last 32, he has absolutely loved.

He chases the crew all over town as they are looking for a place to eat although nobody will let them sit down because of all of their failed movies.

He eventually meets the cast and crew while they are on their way to lunch who invites him to be their intern.

The young man joins them for lunch were they are thinking of ideas for a new film
He suggests new idea. Everyone except director likes it who wants to do a new comedy on Oedipus, which the cast argues has nothing funny about it.
Financers Approve

They begin shooting film but Director is purposely sabotaging it.

Intern meets the Bank owner’s daughter and they begin to hit it off though her father doesn’t approve.

Cast decide to shoot as much as the movie as possible on their own with the intern as the director instead. To prevent the normal director from knowing they shoot after hours and shoot much more in one of their working sessions then they do during the day with the old director.

Cast laments how tired they are, but shoot the last scene in the film.
Intern takes Financers daughter on a date at the end of which he shows her the movie in a rough cut she kisses him and then has to run out because her chauffer has arrived and her father can’t know.

Unfortunately the old director had been sneaking around backstage and after watching them finds out about the secret filming.

The director steels the footage, then tells the cast that they need to have the movie ready on that Monday, it is Friday, to which they respond they have the film. The intern/director, whom is running late, is accused of stealing the film and they kick him out of the studio.

the cast works a furious pace and finishes the old Directors interpretation of the film by Monday.

They go to turn in the film but the financers are actually outside the studio coming in to say they loved the film; this confuses the cast as they haven’t given them the copy yet and the other one was lost.

The financers then indicate that they saw the young director’s copy, which the old director says is impossible because he hid it.

Suddenly the financer’s daughter and our hero/young guy/intern comes out of the car and the daughter explains that she came back to get her coat after the date which she had forgot at the studio. While there she saw the director hide it and she then took it herself and gave it to her father.

The financers fire the director and make the young intern the studio’s lead director and even allow him to expand the studio back to its once booming size .

The show ends with the cast at the premier for the film, which everyone in town is raving about. The now A-List Star Director then proposes to the daughter of the financer on the red carpet.

A Script of a Scene
LARRIS: What?! This can't be! A new director? NO! I'm ruined! I'm destroyed! I'm, I'm... I'M DONE FOR! *throws himself to the floor, and starts overcrying*

LITTLE JOEY: *walks past Larris* ... Actors. *walks out*

LARRIS: I must do something! My career will be destroyed! Unless... Unless I can destroy HIS CAREER! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA!

*silence*

LARRIS: Wait, where's the villain song band?

LITTLE JOEY: *walks past* Working on the love duet.

LARRIS: WHAT? He even stole MY song? Thats it! He's done for! I'll make him wish that he never entered the studio! NEVER!

LITTLE JOEY: Well, you are wasting time.

LARRIS: ... What?

LITTLE JOEY: By this time, they should already be doing the filming montage.

LARRIS: No! Not the filming montage.

LITTLE JOEY: Yes, the filming montage, where simple music makes a lot of time go past in a matter of seconds.

LARRIS: Oh, but what if I make a villain montage?

LITTLE JOEY: Villain montage?

LARRIS: Yes, a villain montage, it will work like th--

The song comes on and the scene begins to change:

LARRIS: No, DON'T CHANGE THE SCENE, I'M NOT DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO--

Settings
The Streets of Hollywood-Mainly just a random street with cars zooming by. On the left side of the stage is the entrance to the bank while the right side has the studio's entrance.

Soundstage-Just basically a simple soundstage. Sets, cameras, directors chairs. You name it. A lot of the play takes place in the theater and it' surrounding buildings.

Bank Interior-Basic run of the mill bank. Pretty nice inside with green walls and of course, the tellers which is where Sara is seen for the first time.

Characters
Jon A. Newbie: this little guy, around his twenties, had a long trip just so he could become a famous director on Hollywood, a dream that started with his old man. Born in Kansas, the Newbie only wants to make a good movie- and make everyone have fun with it- because back in Kansas, there wasn't any really good movie directors, and they were all in for the money. Honest, unselfish and sometimes a little envy, the Newbie is the shining star of the show. Hates water- cold water.

Sara S. Oney: this is no brainless little lady. The Daughter is a diamond in the ruff- born in a rich and powerful family, she tried every way to not be a spoiled little brat, thinking that a rich life was not the most fun life someone could have. That made her a strong and dedicated woman, ready to take control of the bank once her father steps down. However, she always dreams of finding her true love, someone who's not after the money she has (and she considers that a curse). However, she CANNOT resist chocolate and buying new clothes.

Larris E. Fluffy: while he may seem like a lovable senior and experienced director, this man is an evil mastermind. Having the need to shout everything he does, let out evil laughs whenever he seems fit, and tell his evil plan to the hero, the Old Director is a man who will do ANYTHING to get what he wants, and it all started when a new director appeared, many years ago, and took his spot as the shining star of the studio. Since then, he made an oath that he would ruin every single new director's life. He is always twirling his invisible mustache.

The Financers: they don't have a mind of their own, and they all agree with each other. They all walk together, more like a single creature than a group, and one always finish another's line. The Financers, however, only want to make an enjoyable and fun movie, and most of the times, they only accept the good ideas, and not those that will make money. They are led by the Bank's Owner.

Crew Members/ Little Joey: they have worked on the studio for the last 35 pictures, and thats their expertise! The Crew Members are a group of workers who always wanted to shine in Hollywood, but most of them never got the chance to really become actors, so they became movie crew members, so that one day, the Director of any of the movies they were working in noticed that there was one little spark of imagination in that group of hard-working fellas.

Larson: he is the actor. Nothing can beat the actor's smile, and the actor's way of walking. He only speaks in third person (God knows why) and always plays the hero that is out to save the lady in danger. However, in real life, he is one coward dude, and will run away from even a single bug. Note: never touch his hair, for he spent hours working to get it looking like a blonde milkshake.

Costumes
- Jon's clothing: white blue-stripped shirt, grey jacket and grey pants. His boots are made of leather (real leather, he says), and he has a belt with one single "button" (is that the word) made of gold, a gift from his father. Probably the only normal-wearing guy in this show?

- Larris clothing: purple jacket, together with black shirt, and black pants. He always wear a purple hat (he says it gives him a real shadow-like cover) and a pair of weird hats that more look like they came out of the Wizard of Oz than off real life.

- Sara's clothing: a pink dress and pink shoes. Did I mention its a pink hat with a pink flower on it. Pink lipsticks and pink scarf around her neck (that isn't pink, unfurtonately). Pink rings and pink necklaces complement her clothing. Did I mention everything she wears is pink?

Ok, review time. I’m gonna keep it 100% true with all of you.

Honestly, I don’t know what to make of this project. I’m supposed to make a decision between these two projects, but really, I’m not torn between either of the projects. 

First off, Team Bialystock, I thought that you had a solid presentation that was well presented, I just don’t know what grade I could give you on this. For a start, I don’t see anything original about this production. MEW clearly stated that this project had to be a 100% ORIGINAL production. You used a high school production and turned it into something else. I was hoping you’d cite the writer.

I felt that the show was good, but I can’t grade you on that because this was taken from a previously made work. The characters’ names are different, but their personalities were more or less the same, the scenarios were the same, the way the scenes unfolded were the same and even the title of the show was the same. I’d like to question you guys, what do you think of the originality of this project? The songs and the era? Adding songs that fit the scenes isn’t all that hard and the era is just down to the basics. I didn’t see any script pieces, especially after seeing several in your work thread.

You guys relied WAY too heavily on tiki and getting this script. When you’re that determined to get a script to work off of it, you are really, really, not being all that creative or original. So, does anyone want to be an Imagineer if you’re not gonna be original, creative and take chances? There were moments when I was HOPING that tiki wouldn’t get that script, at least you’d have something original to work with. As for the show itself, yeah, I thought it had a good premise, but the changes were made VERY apparent. I didn’t really much get the time of the era. Where was I? 30’s Hollywood, then 70’s rock, but then it’s modern? I really don’t see how any of that makes sense.

And I get it: that’s the theme that you wanted to have. You wanted the audience to have a “What am I watching?” feel. I understand it. I’ve studied theater for four years and I know a thing or two about presentation on and off a stage. I know what makes something stand out and what makes something look odd. Honestly, I appreciate that you wanted to take a risk with the songs and using them in this era, but the result appeared to be a jumbled mess onstage. Rock wasn’t even established in this era, nor would the characters even make much sense singing it. Having things appear to be crazy and random onstage is effective, if done properly. There comes a point where things start looking so ridiculous that it starts looking sloppy. Another question I have is why are these apparent characters acting like teenagers? Primarily, I see something like this going into Universal, NOT DISNEY, and that’s an irreparable mistake.

So, I felt that this wasn’t really original, all of its’ big moments were taken out of tiki’s original synopsis for Personal Spaces, then it had other moments that just didn’t make sense. Honestly, I wasn’t going to give you a grade on this project and I’m still having a hard time trying to think of a grade to give you. Being original to this project was key, but you took something that was already made and tried to make it your own by adding songs and changing the characters’ names. It’s not plagiarism, but it’s pretty **** close. Like I said, I wasn’t going to give you a grade, but I’ll give you a C-. I almost want to give you a D, but I’m not going to.

As for Team Bloom, I didn’t think you’re production was 100% original either. You’re show seemed very similar to the Broadway show, Curtains. Now, I don’t know if any of you have seen that show or took inspiration from it, it just seemed very relatable. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t like the fact that you used the “Make a Great Show/Movie to Save My Butt” plot. That plot has been used so many times; it’s been run over and then beat with a stick. I just didn’t think that using this plot was all that original. I would have preferred if you decided to use a different plot for the show.

However, I liked the fact that you used a sort of formula to distinguish what types of songs to use and where they will be placed. While your plot may have been used over and over before, it’s just the PLOT, not the entirety of the show. Plots have been used over and over before, but that’s not what makes something original. Great props with the songs that you included. You guys did a great job for not being lyricists…well, maybe some of you are. It’s the entire outcome of the production. I’m glad that your production seemed that it would fit well into the Hollywoodland area of DCA. It just seemed like it would be able to fit into the park. I’ll give you a B-.

Honestly, I didn’t think that your production was 100% original either, but I feel like you worked with a much blanker canvass.

As for both of the teams, I really don’t know what happened the last couple of days. Both teams RUSHED to get their things in. RUSHED. You had well over a week to get this thing out and it just seemed for the last couple of days, there was no activity, whatsoever. It seemed like people didn’t know what parts of the project they were supposed to do, no one seemed to be putting the project together and no one appeared to be online, resulting in this massive surge of activity two hours before the project was due. This is with the obvious exception of tiki because he was ill.

Team Bloom, a lot of your members appeared to completely disappear, including your Team Leader, resulting in AdvBlueDude having a panic attack. It seemed that a lot of things had to be done at the very LAST minute. Something that really got to me was in the final hours of Team Bialystock’s project. Imagineer2017 stated that if tiki didn’t write up another part of the script, he’d pull from the original script, regardless of it making sense. First of all, that’s plagiarism and it’s illegal. That’s exactly why I wanted a new theme. It’s too easy to take a previously made work and make it into your own play. Second of all, just placing something in to a project to make it longer, regardless of it making any sense, would dock off major points from the project. Though, I have to give major props to everyone who pulled through at the last minute.

I just felt like everything was rushed when we gave you ample time.

I don’t get this whole “EPIC” angle that this season is taking. I'm done with the word EPIC. Just done with it. That's what's been used over and over and over again to describe things this season. You know, alot of the things I've seen being described as epic...haven't been really epic at all. In fact, alot of them have been projects that won by a slight infractions, not by their skill. I don't even understand what epic means anymore. Ever since the finale of Season Seven, the contestants are constantly "This epic project" or "It's going to be epic". My project HAD to be epic, it was practically a point in the criteria. This season, everyone wants things to be epic and it's just getting really tiresome. 

Like, what? Next season when we ask for a new amenity design for a hotel, I’m going to get an epic tissue box? Honestly, enough. I've seen so many "epic" things, which in my mind weren't all that great at all, that the word epic is almost a synonym for "something to describe something just to make it sound good". Honestly, I need everyone to stop saying how the project is epic and I need to start seeing it for myself. I don't want a team's project to strive to be epic, I want them to be good. I feel like no one is really proving themselves as competitors this season and I feel that no one really wants to win. That’s all I have to say.

I'm going to be quite honest with you all...I'm disappointed with this project and agree with pretty much everything that KingMickey said. Seriously folks. The reason why I've been so encouraging and "happy" all the time is because I feel as if we need the encouragement to move this season along and keep you all motivated. I'll admit to being one of the people known for saying "epic" a lot and I apologize for that. I agree 100% that the word is tired. I remember in my sophomore year our English teacher said that essays with perfect scores "sparkled." I can honestly say (No offense to any of you) that I haven't seen any major project this season that has "sparkled." I will recognize Toontown, the Haunted Mansion Holidays, Scott Pilgrim, and the Young Frankenstein projects being my favorites, but they weren't "epic." From this point on epic is a new standard. NOTHING has been epic this season. It is an old word and has definitely been used at times just to make a project seem better when in reality the project isn't epic. I'm sorry for saying this, but it's true. This project was far from epic. 

Team Bialystock...well...hmm...as I sat in my backroom on my laptop for pretty much the span of the entire day, I had the strongest feeling that you guys were going to win. You had the biggest thread, the most productivity, and the most script. I thought for sure that you would have an excellent project. Sadly I was wrong. I don't even know what to make of it. First of all we asked you to make an original show, not an old high school show brught back with a few changes here and there. I didn't even know what I was reading to tell you the truth. I see all these pieces of dialogue in the work thread and all this other stuff and was thinking "They're definitely on top of things." Well you were...but then it slowed down...and then we get your project. Uh, it's just...you guys were doing so well and then you turned in a small post of a project. I feel kind of cheated to tell you the truth. I see all this work being done in the thread, all this script dialogue, and pretty much nothing here. Just a briefy summary, character anaylysis list, and some other bullet points. Reading over it I got kind of confused. Now was this supposed to take place in 1930's Hollywood? It seemed more like modern day Hollywood with a bit of that teenage-atmosphere from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World thrown in there. The music made no sense and didn't blend in very well with the rest of the show. How the heck does "Comedy Tonight," a Sondheim song from the 1960's mix in with rock and all that other music? They differ very much on some levels, if not most levels. I don't really like how you guys went ahead and used an already-existing show as your template. That is illegal (Was this show even published?) and is considered plagarism whether it is published or not. I don't know if you have permission (Tiki is one of the writers of course) to use it, but nonetheless we wanted you to be original and it just didn't seem to work out with you guys. I never thought I'd say this but...you guys get...a D...I hate giving out bad grades for Imagineering projects, but I had no other choice. I appreciate your effort and hope that you'll be encouraged to do much better next round. 

Team Bloom I enjoyed yours more than I thought I would. I'll call it "nice." That's how I would like to describe it. It had a cute story (Even though the story has been used BEFORE) but wasn't 100% original like we asked for. I'm sorry but it didn't blow me out of the water (Neither projects did). I did like the fact that you made your own songs (Good job with writing the lyrics and the script scene) and how you used "Comedy Tonight" as a pitch for a Greek movie. You will be given a B which means that you have won this time around. Congratulations.

Boy, I'm going to sound like a jerk, but we won't be eliminating anyone this round. Originally this was planned for next round, but we're going to go ahead and go through with it this round. There was an error in the planning with Walt's Vault and the elimination wouldn't be fair because of it (I'll discuss this at the beginning of next round so don't worry about it and don't freak out). Next round we will have elimination so be forewarned. You'll be let off the hook for JUST this round. 

This was one of the first projects we planned after sign-ups. KingMickey and I really believed that our awesome cast would be able to bring us into an awesome new musical theater experience. I've been in theater for the past 3 1/2 years and wasn't really impressed. I've seen bad shows before and I've seen good shows, and I can say that your projects lay somewhere in between. If you guys want to call your projects epic, please make them live up to that word. I don't want to hear it anymore. It's an overused word and if you absolutely INSIST on using it, make your work live up to it. No offense to any of you and I hope that there are no hurt feelings. Don't take it too hard on yourselves, it's just an Imagineering project. I won't be posting the next project until tomorrow morning because we probably need some time to cool off (Even though it's only one short night in between now and then). 


Imagineer2017: Okay, I can agree. I'm not going to go into an argument saying our grade isn't fair, because it is. 
I was worried that you would think that it wasn't original enough. I really liked Tiki's idea, and didn't want to shun anyone else's ideas (as you can go read). And i will be honest though, and forgove me for saying this, but when tiki posted his idea, I felt things were about to go bad. I accepted them, because I saw potential, and didn't want to shun ideas. Then whoever ot was that said it shoul be a 70s rockthing, I knew we had gone crazy and it was bad. Songs had already be en posted before I could even say anything. 
But, I though how we changed it up made it something different. It is a very random play, but it was good. I thought it felt a tad half-baked, because of our springboard play idea and how rushed it was. I only wish my fist time as captain went over a little better, but its best to learn fast I suppose.

Disneyson1: Well... that was interesting. Considering that a flagrant plagiarism was used as the base of a project, mashed with some random, out-of-place, DISNEY INAPRO-PRO songs, and stuck in a random *** time period (not in a good way)... you guys were SO lucky not to get an elimination. ALL you guys really should step it up next round; it's getting REALLY sloppy to the point of not caring...

I mean, now it's Christmas Break and a project's being posted tomorrow. If I were you I'd spend my break trying my very best to make up for these sorely uninspired projects.

Seriously, I get it, this play SUCKED and I should never work in theater. You guys don't have to freaking beat it into my skull. I mean for the love of god people, look at it from our perspective. Disneyson, you KNOW how hard it is to type these things out. We were SERIOUSLY trying, we were going in a surreal direction to be sure and taking a risk, but it wasn't for a lack of TRYING. I'm not playing this game for a freaking audience. If the projects aren't up to snuff with the people watching then honestly...I just don't care. I've put too much of my personal time into this freaking game. I had to sacrifice school time in order to turn projects in. I probably would have gotten an A in English this semester instead of a B if it weren't for this freaking game. So seriously, I'm NOT playing this to please ANYBODY, and for people who aren't even in the game to just go on and on about how TERRIBLE our project was, how ASHAMED we should be and how LUCKY it was that we weren't eliminated...like I said. We freaking tried. You of all people should appreciate that, Disneyson... 

And seriously there's no elimination this round? Now I'm worried about the game ending before school starts up again...

Disneyson1: Sorry if I sounded harsh, tiki, but your project thread made it seem as if someone else from your school wrote the play and you were using it. If that was the case, then plagerisim is the appropriate word. If you DID indeed come up with the script and concept from your head, then that's something different. But did you write the original script? I mean, you had to contact a friend to get a copy of it; did you write it or did a friend write it? 

Don't get me wrong, your play was very good and the idea has promise... but I just feel like it didn't fit in at ALL with Disney and I'm having a hard time believing that Disney would produce your play to be put on for the lay people of DCA. I understand the idea of giving your play new life, but without a clear goal, time frame, or motive, I feel like the play fell flat. With a bit more on plot and setting development, it would make a great show... in NYC, not at Disney!

I understand that writing the show was difficult, but that you sota went in all different directions made me confused. I mean, the show was just not surreal enough to justify the time switching, I felt. The onjly true issue I had with your show was that it borrowed SO HEAVILY from a script that was created previously and may or may not have been written by a person not in this game.

You don't have to play for anyone; the goal of the game I think (at one time) was to hone imagineering skills, and whatever you get out of the game is not what people say about your stuff, but your own internal improvement. I'm sorry if my comment was out of line, (and now that I look back on it really WAS overly harsh) but I still think that it's getting very sloppy on ALL TEAMS... the next project is going to be very good, I think, considering we're getting back into physical walk-through sets, special effects, and real Disney stories.

Tiki: Okay, just to clear this whole issue up once and for all, everything about Personal Spaces, from the initial idea to the complete written script, is all MY product. The reason why I was trying to get in contact with that friend was because the e-mail account that I had the original script on was a shared e-mail account, and I couldn't log on for some reason and thought my friend who also had access to it might have changed the password or something. What ended up happening was that my friend (who by the way was the actor who played Lawrence in the original) ended up having a spare script lying around his house which I then took and typed up. Like I said though, every line of dialogue, every bit of plot, every character, stemmed entirely from my own head initially. 

As for it not being appropriate for a Disney park...honestly, we were trying something new. The whole point of Personal Spaces is for it to be a complete celebration of experimental theater, while at the same time pulling off a bunch of cool imagery. To be completely honest with you, what KILLED our entire project was most likely just the fact that I came down with a migraine on the day the project was due. This was crippling because I was planning on writing out an ENTIRE detailed synopsis of the play that would have probably cleared up a lot of issues, including justification for the surreal imagery and a lot of changes between the original and our version that would have made its way in. Since I had a migraine however, I was basically bed ridden until an hour before the project, hence all you see of the plot is that brief act by act outline which really doesn't explain anything. Again, I fully believe that if I wouldn't have had a migraine yesterday, the project would have AT LEAST been in B territory. Also, I STILL don't understand your reasoning for the songs being inappropriate. As CF said, the only slightly questionable line is in "With a little Help from My Friends". Whatever though. I still think we had a really good idea, it just needed a bit more time to be better executed. It CERTAINLY doesn't warrant the ravage feedback its gotten. I mean seriously, I'm all for constructive criticism and all, but it seems like THIS particular project had some of the most flat out HOSTILE feedback I've ever seen in this game. The most controversial quitter of all time and the most outspoken tirade against an individual project of all time in the SAME project. Seriously...well done Garrett...well done!

ManEatingWreath: It's time to settle this insanity once and for all. Tiki I really want to apologize for what has happened with this round, if not this entire season. You trusted me enough to take the reigns of your game and I kind of lost my grip on them. If I was Santa Claus then the whole world would be filled with a lot of unhappy children. I would have lost control over the reindeer and crashed my sleigh right into Norway by now. The kids of Norway would be happy, but the other kids of the world wouldn't. I'm trying to compare this Santa Claus-statement with the current standing of the game. As the game master I crashed this game into a rough spot and have made problems for everyone. Some people are either happy with what's going on, or unhappy with what's going on. I didn't deliver what I promised. Only a few people got their expectations satisfied. Uh...that being said I'd like to make some more apologies and settle some more issues...

Tiki I really am sorry for you being targeted and chewed out. It is not your fault that your team got the grade that they did. You were and still are one of the season's biggest powerhouses and are definitely a strong force to be reckoned with. Yes, I know I've told you that a thousand times, but I insist that it's true. You really tried your best last round and it's a shame that we couldn't see more (Curse you migraines!) from your work. The whole plagarism thing...well I don't really know where that came from (I kind of just caught onto it and used it in my review). I think that the main concern was the fact that the instructions were to be entirely original with the project and come up with your own plot. Then your idea from the "real-world" came in and I guess that kind of threw us off into thinking it was plagarism. I really want to apologize for this horrid incident (If you event want to call it an incident). Please don't target tiki as the reason for your loss this past round. It's not fair to him and it's not a fair judgement. I apologize for everything that's been going on.

I feel very weird about the current happenings if I may say so myself. We expected controversy when this season was began but we honestly didn't expect this much. We had lots of major twists and things occur this season. I don't really feel accomplished about it to tell you the truth. I wanted to see some new excitement but not this much. There is SO much insanity going on right now that it'd probably be best just to forget about it. But the thing is you can't forget about this kind of thing. VF is supposed to be a safe place to have fun and I turned it into a stressful madhouse...heck, I did not intend for any of this to happen. Disneyson you definitely had one of the craziest posts I've ever seen in my history with this game. Not the craziest, but it was pretty straight-forward and intense. If you weren't an All Star already (Which you earned due to your powerhouse persona and style of gameplay) that statement alone would more than likely bring you up to that All Star status. I'm not the one in charge of naming All Stars in my perspective that would be a big step forward into becoming one. I don't mean any offense towards you or anyone else, I just think that needed to be said. I appreciated that you posted feedback for a project (It's always nice to get feedback from outside sources), but please don't call out anyone. 

So hopefully that will put an end to this chaos. Round eight is a round that you can remember or a round that you can forget. I would like to forget it personally, but I can't do it. It wouldn't seem right forgetting it. Being one of the two people in charge I can't forget something like this. Hopefully you know what I'm talking about. So I won't be forgetting this round. You guys can forget it or you can remember it. It's up to you. You can put the past behind you and look at the future...or you can simply remember this round and forget about the future. It's your choice. I hope that everything is okay and that no one has taken anything to heart. Personally I want this whole controversy to end. As I've said with numerous rounds in the past, what's done is done. This round is over, the decisions have been made, and everything has been completed. There is nothing else really that can be done. However there is something that CAN be done...you...

Perhaps if we can show each other all a little more respect we can make this place a safe and fun haven once again. So, You want to be an Imagineer isn't about arguing and violence (Okay forget that I said "violence"), it's about flexing your Imagineering skills and testing your creativity. I've looked at the Project Nine work thread and can easily say that I like what's going on so far. Great ideas are being thrown around and I can sense that good old-fashioned teamwork that we all need to thrive in a game like this. Yes there are powers. Yes there are twists. Yes there is controversy. But the main focus of this game is to WIN. Jk, you want to win but personally I have an entirely different perspective on this game. When I signed-up back in Season Five, I was looking forward to a new chance to flex my skills, work with others, and have a new motivation to do it. I wasn't looking forward to getting into fights and targeting others on a negative point for doing their fair share of work. We all have our own style of gameplay, yes. We all want to win, yes. But I think the main thing that we have lost sight of is the fun aspect of the game. Obviously we all love being Imagineers and to me, that's what this game is all about. 

So why don't we all take a deep breath, close our eyes for a few seconds, and go right on in with a better attitude. I may or may not get backlash for this post, but I won't hear it. This round is over and a new round lies ahead of us. We're getting closer and closer to the end of the season and there is no point in arguing about one particular round now. The game will be done sooner than you think. We have two more double eliminations ahead of us, followed directly by semi-finals and finals. All will be good, don't worry. All will be well. Things are looking up and I promise that we may or may not have a promising outlook coming up for all of us. Hang in there guys.

Tiki: Garrett, when I said well done, I honestly really meant it. I wasn't trying to be sarcastic at all. Here's the way I see this season. It's just...INTENSE. It's like Season Five compared to Season Four when looking at it compared to Season Seven, but honestly, all this controversy is going to go down in the history of the game, and I for one will be looking at it merely as one of the most intense, inner-personal seasons we'll probably ever have. At this point in time guys...I think I kind of publicly want to say that I'm kind of done with alliances for the season. Strategy might have done me a few favors over the course of the game, but I kind of think that some of my aggressive gameplay is to blame for all the inner-personal controversy that has been caused. I mean seriously...I got WAY deep into this thing. Perhaps a little too deep. I don't want to really go into my overall strategy right now as we are still in the midst of the game and all, but let me just say that from this point forward we are down to the four greatest All Stars and the four greatest Wild Cards who started this season. I really couldn't be more proud to be competing against a stronger group of individuals. Seriously, you ALL have a chance to win this game. For a while I was kind of in Russell Hantz strategyland territory, but to be one hundred percent up front I think from this point forward with SUCH a strong final eight emerging from all this chaos, I kind of see it as a TRIUMPHANT end to a brutally intense season. This WILL go down in history as one of, if not THE most memorable seasons in the history of the game, and that is all on you Garrett. SERIOUSLY...well done. At this point, I think it should be every man for himself. Me and Monkey still of course have the Vault power (GOOD call on making last round a non-elimination. Whatever the result would have been because of THAT twist...it would have been ugly.) and will decide what to do with it, but I REALLY want this game to be about the strongest overall Imagineers. I'm done with alliances, let the BEST Imagineer win. I'll explain my strategy come Finals time (that is assuming I make it that far), but I think the fact that through all the controversy emerged the four best players from each team who are ALL completely into the game and powerhouses in their own right is a sign that strategy needs to take a back seat for the rest of the season. I'm SERIOUSLY down for an old school battle to the finish at this point! 

I just have a couple not-so-fun issues I feel I personally have to address moving forward. First of all, "plagiarism" should be a dirty word when it comes to this game, no questions asked, moving forward. As a SERIOUS English Major and creative writer, I have to say that NOTHING hurts more than to be called a plagiarist. The way I saw it was, I had this IDEA that I had been working on since Senior Year that I really wanted to develop further and saw this past project as a perfect way to do it. I honestly thought it just fit so well with what you guys were asking that it would if anything just give us a head start. If the judges felt that this was not acceptable, SERIOUSLY...say something. Throwing around the P word is a SERIOUS offense, as I've been working on this play literally for years, and besides, I think the P word is friggin' REDUNDANT in THIS particular competition since...HELLO...EVERYTHING we do, in one way or another, is ripping off of another idea. I mean...the whole concept of the game in itself is to create theme park rides, but MOST of the time we use material that isn't our own, be it a park, a company, characters, ideas, WHATEVER...NONE of it is particularly original, but it doesn't matter. That's not the POINT of the game to begin with. The POINT of the game is simply to be the BEST Imagineer you can be, did you read the name of the game to begin with? I don't know where ANYONE comes off calling someone a plagiarist in a game of this format, hands down. 

And the last point I have to make on a personal level is just seriously...let's give Disneyrules a break now, huh? I mean...yeah, he threw off a twist, but it's partly my fault for voting him back in to begin with when it was pretty clear Disneyson would have been the proper person to be voted back. To be completely honest with you, the thing that wasn't right about that twist WASN'T Disneyrules or any of what he did, it was the fact that first of all you guys should have waited until you had a better assembled cast of "Outcasts" to work with, since you MUST have known that Hack and OSU would be complete dead weights no matter what since they both pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth for the time being. (Though I'm sure both of them have very good personal reasons, of course.) Sure, Disneyrules PROBABLY should have not come back at all, but we can't really blame HIM for that, can we? I think we are EQUALLY, if not more to blame for that twist's failure. You guys crucified Disneyrules in the same way you belittled me, and really I'm SICK of this particular kind of behavior in the game. It should just cease to exist hands down, no questions asked. Disneyrules, you are one of the most bewildering, controversial, INTERESTING wild cards we've ever had on this game, and I mean that as a compliment. You have a personal story going on, and I'd LOVE to see you return if you could bring more to the table. There's a lot you have to learn about the way the game is played, but honestly just judging by the amount of activity you show in threads outside this game, I can clearly see your potential. I think it's unfair the way everyone ganged up on you, though I did kind of egg it on a bit. Though really my contribution to the whole thing was merely a comparison to Jeff Probst's tirade against the quitters this past season, and knowing me I can NEVER resist a good Probst joke, haha. 

So yeah...forget this ugliness, forget alliances, forget strategy. Let's just have a fair, and yes...I'm going to use the word EPIC fight to the finish. The eight of us have certainly earned it.

KingMickey: I was going to post an angry tirade post, but decided against it. I'm not going to make any apologies because I feel that my feedback is what it is. You could either accept it or ignore it, but it would be smart to at least look at the feedback from all angles. I honestly just want all this controversy to stop because I feel that it takes alot away from the actual gameplay of the season and really adds alot of stress. I feel that this season will be memorable for the amount of controversy that was caused, but from here on out, I really wish that we could just all move on together and push this season towards its finish. As tiki said, no more alliances (unless you really want to dabble in there), no more strategy, no more ugliness (which I WILL apologize for because I feel that my actions have been responsible for part of it and I hate it. It's terrible to watch the game that you participated in and are now judging transform into something it never was.) So, I think WE ALL blew off some steam...whooo...let's all just bring this season back down to a place where it's supposed to be and make a great ending to this season. So...how to end this...can we all just be best fwiends again?

What a magical way to spend the Christmas season on the Imagineering boards...

Tiki: King, I appreciate your feedback and honestly it was the most well rounded and least jaded out of all the feedback that was received through the whole mess. I think this whole thing kind of had a snowball effect to it. It started as something small, but then progressively got bigger and bigger. Having said that KM, I just want you to know that throughout this WHOLE thing I never once had any ill feelings towards you. Your post WAS helpful, did illustrate how perhaps we may have had a few key misreadings of the project that I didn't see...It was just everything after that I felt was unacceptable. There's a difference between giving CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and basically slamming a project. I don't want you to have to feel like you have to go on an angry tirade against anyone King, though I DO understand your frustration towards some of the things I've done this game. Again, I FIRMLY believe that had I NOT had a migraine yesterday, the project we would have turned in would have been completely different, and honestly, I also firmly believe that it could fit into a Disney park, in spite of pretty much EVERYONE thinking otherwise. Honestly I think the Chester character could be a Figment style mascot for Hollywoodland, and I think the whole play has a zany, off the wall cut to it that would be a very refreshing Disney theatrical production. Basically I think it's like...ONE step up in maturity level from Aladin, honestly. I don't think anything in it is THAT bad, and I think the characters are all well developed. Candy, for example, could be seen as the antagonist, but could also be seen as sentimental. Each and every character has very real motivations and aren't just black and white caricatures (Well...except maybe Billy) again, I really wish I would have had the energy to type out a long overview over four hours, but on a migraine, that kind of stuff in physically impossible. 

But SERIOUSLY...All is forgiven, and I don't want ANYONE having to hold back any ill feelings going forward. I respect each and every one of you guys, from the remaining contestants to our two GREAT judges to our mighty fallen one Disneyson (Though seriously...watch in on the whole "plagiarist" thing...) to all the other people who make this game possible. So, You Want to be an Imagineer is TRULY a unique enterprise and online community, and I couldn't be more proud to basically be the father of at least the contest side of it. You guys seriously ALL rock and are some of the most amazing minds I've ever had the pleasure to work with.

ManEatingWreath: Yes, the main problem that came upon this season was the controversy (Or at least in my opinion). The controversy kind of built-up into something so intense that it swallowed our hearts and made this terrible swarm of madness. I think that all this craziness should be put to rest now. The eight contestants remaining as tiki said, are the four best All Stars and Wild Cards out there. Each and every one of you have your own personal gameplay, style, and creativity, which gives you all the title that you deserve. At the end of the season I will recognize every single one of you individually. AdvBlueDude, tiki, Imagineer2017, Disneyland DHI, monkey4057, jessiestudio, Stratofarius, and CostaFreak - You guys are the game right now. No joke. I would like to thank all the other contestants who played this season (Especially Disneyson), but you eight are really the people who are keeping this season alive at the moment. You all managed to pull through every controversial moment we've had this season. We started with 20 contestants, lost at least eight in the first round, gained two, lost some more later on, went through some unfortunate twists, and yet you all managed to stay. We have so many interesting personalities remaining, each with their own storyline. We have CostaFreak who fell victim to an unfair elimination but came back again, jessiestudio who used a big power to eliminate a big contestant, monkey who created some great attractions, tiki who is the contestant-turned game master, etc. All eight of you have your own special talents and have contributed your own "art" to the season. Great work folks, I'm really happy to have all of you aboard for this wild ride. 

Since we are ending the season soon, I do think that it's time to bring the "Imagineer" back into "So, You want to be an Imagineer." All the major powers have been put into action, nearly all of the controversial eliminations have occured (Hopefully...), and the nastiness of this round is all behind us now.

And yes tiki, Walt's Vault would have made matters worse if there was elimination last round. Uh...I can't even begin to imagine how horrible it would have been...

I promised DisneyRules not to talk about his resignation anymore, and respect his wishes. I do admit though that it wasn't really fairfor us to target him for something that silly. He was nice enough to come back into the game and it was just wrong of us to attack him for that. It was probably the stress of the moment or just a general uproar, but it still wasn't right. As with tiki, I hope to see you rejoin us in the next season or a later season. As you go along through school (I believe that's why you dropped out) you'll find more time to play, I assure you (Unless you do all honors classes, lol). You have a lot of potential, and as you grow your potential will increase. I know that when I was starting out with Imagineering I was kind of nervous about it. I didn't know what the heck I was doing. All I knew was that I wanted to do it and I wanted to have fun with it as I did it. I think that may be what we're missing with this game. You want to Imagineer. You don't want to drown yourself in controversy and fight with each other. I'd be kind of hurt if someone attacked me for something as silly as Imagineering. Imagineering isn't silly (Especially if that's what you want to do when you grow up) but it isn't something you should kill each other over. 

Now onto that twist that brought an eliminated-contestant back in. I think it was kind of rushed and thrown in just to make things interesting. I apologize for that. We were hoping that it may spice things up a bit and bring new excitement into the ring. It did that for a little while but then sparked a rotten controversy that devoured us all and met its climax at the end of last round. Hopefully that tension will leave us and allow true, full-hearted Imagineering to come back into play. 

As of right now I think that you are all doing a great job with this project (Project Nine). I don't know whether it was our posts or not, but I see a much better improvement in your work ethic and quality. Great work everyone. I'm really happy with how things are going at the moment. I have a name for your team. Your team name (I haven't checked if you've named yourself yet) is now Team Phoenix. Why have I named you Team Phoenix? Because you survived the flames and rose from the ashes. That's an impressive action on its own. 

I feel as if it is safe and fun here once again. I will admit that this probably is the most memorable season ever. Thank you.

KingMickey: Thank you tiki, I didn't want any ill feelings between ANYONE at all, I just felt like I had alot to say, but I didn't want to "put down" anyone in the process. I honestly just want people to strive to get better, you know. Not that contestants are BAD, I just want them to strive to get somewhere in this competition, to have some sort of goal, you know. Not just to play the game hum-drum and see what happens. I want to see everyone improve and people are, it just takes time and work and people will still continue to grow throughout the remainder of the season, which is exciting. I think we have a great group of people that are heading for the finals and things do look promising. 

I honestly do believe you when you say that, if you had not been sick yesterday, the project would have turned out differently. Hell, I've been in your shoes and I know EXACTLY how you feel. I've been the person who had to COVER for missed work (this isn't regarding anyone in the competition), it's extremely annoying having to issue out work, then having to do the extra work. And then being sick on top of that, I understand and I believe that the project would have turned out differently.

So yeah, I'm just glad that we could all get past this and we can continue on to the finals! Can't wait to see what happens!

Disneyson1: Tiki, I am very sorry for calling you out on "P"; it's a whole different thing knowing that YOU wrote the script (I thought you were simply the director and took another student's words, which CLEARLY you didn't). Once again, I am completely sorry and remorseful, and as a note your original play is incredibly well-written and interesting, it's very well written and absorbing (and I enjoy it a lot more now that I know you wrote it!). VERY good work.

Honestly, I'm completely over the whole "ostracizing" trend we've developed here, and ripping people apart is not the way to improve Imagineering here on these boards. At this point, there's so much painfully unnecessary hate that truly doesn't belong in such a tight-knit community. I really want to say that I truly respect and love all of you; from TrevorA to DisneyRules to tiki and really EVERYONE here. I KNOW that an amazing thing will be created next project and I can't wait to love it.

Does anyone remember when these sorts of games weren't about controversy, not about being "crazier than last season", not about flame-throwing, not about powers or alliances, but about true talent, rewarding creativity, swapping ideas, making friends just for the sake of friendship, and true dedication? Well... I don't really remember that because I only began viewing this game last season! But I think these are the ideals that need to be re-introduced into the game. There's no point in creating controversy, there's no audience that we need to get ratings from. This should be about creating the best experience possible through the internet. And I think that's possible. Next round, I can't wait to see everyone working together again, becoming a true family, and perhaps learning something along the way. Who needs "epic controversy" when you can have an amazing experience without it... and have more fun, too!

Let's have a merry and happy Christmas and a joyous New Year's Eve, and do what we love while improve ourselves and making friends along the way. I mean, that's all we really need in life.
